The island of Bali is part of the Republic of Indonesia and is located 8 to 9 degrees south of the equator between Java in the West and Lombok and the rest of the Lesser Sunda Islands (Sumbawa, Flores, Sumba and Timor) in the East.

The highest mountain in mount Agung, at elevation of 3,142m. Others mountains are Batukan: 2,276m / Abang : 2,152m / Batur: 1,717m and Seraya: 1,058m. Double caldera of mount Batur measured 10 Km * 13,8 Km, it’s one of the biggest calderas in the world.

Temperatures between 20 to 33 c (68 to 93 F) throughout the year.

In mountainous are at least 10 degrees cooler. West season last from November to March. The  Population of Bali is over 3 million, with population density of 522 people per Km². Most people live in the coastal areas in the south.

The total area of Bali is 5,561 Km² and measures just 90 kilometers along the north-south axis and less than about 140 kilometer from East to west. There are lush tropical forest, pristine crater lakes fast flowing, rivers and deep ravines, picturesque in rice terraces. The beaches in the South consist of white sand beaches in other parts of the island are covered with gray or black volcanic sand.
